New look

Well for the time being I'm leaving blogspot behind for an LJ. The templates gave me a bit more flexibility and a sense of newness. Yes, I could go through and edit this place, but then that's just like having my own site.. without the perks. So for the time being I'll be over at http://www.livejournal.com/~lateshift

Exploring Las Venturas

Normally I'd do an entry talking about how insane the demands are supposed to be for my winter session class that started today, but instead I'll talk about Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I got it for christmas, and just yesterday finally had the opportunity to start playing with it, and wow, the replay factor just jumps off the screen when compared to Vice City. Also with the fact that it's modeled somewhat after various west coast spots, it's nice to see an urbanified version of where i live somewhat.

Talk about complex sentences. Anyway, the voice acting is a lot better so far, and the curse words just fly from every location. And the way you can modify your character, Carl "CJ", it's just amazing, I have him going to the gym every day, toning up, I bought him some new threads and gave him the shaved head look. So far I've been more of a drive on these missions so far, so it'll be interesting to see what else happens. I'll definitely be trying to make some time to play this game when I can.
