Haunted Phone

Ok. So after getting out of my class last night, I go to use my cellphone, and as I put the phone up to my ear, some woman is already talking on it.. O_O .. It was like I was interrupting the conversation, because I came in mid sentence.. I hung up. And went again to use my cellphone, and when I once again pressed dial, it was the woman again.. O_O .. It was the wierdest thing. I checked my call log, no missed calls, no recently recieved calls, no voice messages.. It didnt' happen again after those two times.. I regret not saying hello or excuse me, I guess I was just so surprised to hear the voice, I just don't get how there is no trace.. Maybe my phone's haunted...

The woman was saying "I'm getting tired of all these little messages kid, think up better excuses.. " .. I have no clue who would say that, why they'd call me a kid or any excuses.. I can't think of any.. If she was cute though. Call Again! ^_^

AVP

Just came back from seeing this movie with my brother and his father-inlaw. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. Nothing really bad, but it was PG-13 so.. eh. If they make a sequel, let's leave out the humans, they only really slowed the action down. I really hope they have it just on the ship or one of their homeworlds and leave Earth and humans out of it. Maybe that's just me.

Looking for a laptop

I've been wanting a lap top for awhile now, but several things may occur that could bring one into my possesion sooner than later.. Enough about that though..

I've pretty much zeroed down to two options.. either a dell laptop (i'll have to look the specifics later) or a Apple Ibook G3 800 Mhz, 30GB hd, with plenty of ram and a Dvdrom/CD-rw combo drive.. also an airport card/port, and usb.

The Ibook I've seen range from $500 - 800.. And I've wanted an apple for awhile.. And it had OS X.. so.. I'm heavily leaning towards it, I'd have to be blown away by Dell to change my possible choice..

Bit Torrent enabled!

Hard to believe.. but after installing my wireless connection.. I couldn't figure out how to download from bit torrent.. I mean, configure my router to allow bit torrent to work correctly. I looked it up but I couldn't find a way, until I found a thread at some computer help forum.. However I couldn't get it working correctly.. I stumbled on it till today, when looking at that same thread, found a link a few pages later (that I had previously not checked) and found a direct page from D-LInk's support site about Bit Torrent configuration... And now it's working great..

I Am Now Wireless..

Wow.. I didn't think it would take as long as it did, but I am glad to say that I was finally able to set up a wireless network for my computer.. That way people wouldn't continue to trip on the phone cord. I started about 11 this morning and didn't finish till about 6:30.

Tip for you folks.. Read the instructions first and don't just put things together.. It took me awhile to connect everything correctly, only to read that I had to have the router hardwired when I configured it, so then I had to move everything around, and set up the things using the web based interface... But it runs smoothly now. No wires through the hallway anymore and I didn't get any help.. =)

Fun time

Well tonight was pretty fun. I went out with Alan and his gf, Rae. We went to play ball at CV. I beat him one on one.. ;) Of course our lack of consistant playing has made it so that we get winded/tired pretty easily playing basketball now. So then we sat on the side, goofing off and just having some fun while waiting for Patrick.. We got tired of waiting so we left, stopped at 7/11 for some snackage.. And then I got dropped off at my place. It was a fun time being with them. Good times. ^_^

Sportscenter Oldschool

Starting today.. "The Boys are Back in town" .. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of ESPN, ESPN is bringing back several old anchors to come and host Sportscenter, as it goes oldschool.

Sunday: Dan Patrick welcomes back Craig Kilborn
Monday: Bob Ley welcomes back Charlie Stiener
Tuesday: Stuart Scott welcomes back Gayle Gardner
Wednesday: Chris Berman welcomes back Greg Gumbel
Thursday: Chris Berman welcomes back George Grande..

Most noticeable non oldschool welcome back.. Keith Olbermann.. Just BS why he didn't get asked back. Interesting article on "Old School" here.

Lakers continue to remodel

Well.. Guess what.. Lakers made another trade. They made a trade with Boston, and they got younger, and got another big guy.. I like the move.

Lakers get: Marcus Banks, Chuckey Atkins, Chris Mihm
Boston gets: Gary Payton, Rick Fox, lottery protected 1st round pick

Rick Fox wasn't going to do anything for the Lakers this year, even though I like him, he was already behind Devean George, then add Odom and Butler.. There was no time for him.. Lakers got a lot younger, and this team keeps looking interesting to watch.

PG: Atkins, Banks
SG: Bryant, Rush, Vujacic
C: Divac, Mihm, Douthlitt(2nd round pick)
PF: Grant, Medvedenko, Cook, maybe Malone
SF: Odom, George, Walton

Couldn't find the UFF TPB though. So that's the only bummer for this week. Every issue was a great read for me.

Anime Spotlight: Elfen Lied

Anime-Source.com - Anime Spotlight: Elfen Lied

This looks like one Crazy anime. It's called Elfen Lied, and it can go from Chobits-esque scenes, to dark gory shit. There is nudity so.. uh.. if you don't like that don't watch it. Anime-source did a great job talking about it, so there's the link and go check it out. Sounds like a unique anime for sure. Apparently ADV has a hand in it.. Interesting.

Spidey

Another long day today. My parents had been wanting to see Spider-Man 2 for awhile now, so I finally decided to go with them, and we went to see it. We saw it at a nice place, Edwards Regal Theater in Valencia. The movie was really good, I'm glad that I finally got to see it. He sure took off his mask a lot, especially for a movie where he complained about having to do what he has been doing to protect his loved ones..

After the movie we went to eat in the Town Center. My dad got confused from before, and the reason for wanting to come out there was to eat at a specific restuarant, which turned out to be a bookstore instead.. So then the debate began of where to eat,and we ended up eating at TJ Friday's.. It was an alright place, I was watching the baseball game they had on ESPN, and I had a chicken dinner meal, which was filling. I also happened to notice a cutie sitting across from where I was, who I was eyeing.. Another my type of girls.. She was out with her friends, one who was celebrating a birthday, couple of glances my way too, so it was eventful.. I almost did more, but I don't think hitting on a girl, while out to dinner with your parents is the right thing to do.. Unfortunate, but there's a time and place for that sort of thing.. Makes me want to come again to Valencia though.. Anyway, today was fun, and I get to see my niece on Tuesday, so everything is good.
